Community and Fundraising Events Planned for 2018

  • The Produce Stall (and coffee) held under the Lych Gate of St. John's Church will run from 30th June until 1st September
  • Parish Breakfast held at Staplegrove Village Hall from 8.30 am until 11.30 am. Dates planned for 2018 are 23 June and 10 November (with stalls)
  • Monthly Soup lunches held at 12 noon on the third Tuesday of the month at Staplegrove Village Hall from October to March (not December)
  • Monthly Tea and Chat held once a month on a Thursday in St John's Church from April until September (not August). The next date will be Thursday 24th May. Why not put this date in your diary. You will be very welcome!

News from fundraising events in 2017 and 2018


The Mother's Union Banner coffee morning held on 20th April at St. John's Church, raised £150


The Fairtrade Coffee Morning held at St. John's Church on Saturday 17th March raised almost £180


The weekly Produce Stall held between June and September 2017 raised a magnificent £1703.95. 



The Parish Breakfast with stalls, held on 23 November 2017 raised £505.17 in aid of the Organ Fund


The Bell Ringers raised £260 in aid of Children in Need in November 2017


The Coffee morning with produce stalls held at Staplegrove School on 14 October 2017 raised £250

  • £50 was given to the Brownies for the Children of the Caribbean Disaster Appeal
  • £50 for the Friends of Staplegrove School and £150 for Church funds  



The Strollers' raised £55 for the 'Ride and Stride' Appeal on 9 September 2017


The family afternoon at Higher Yarde Farm raised almost £400 for the Church Reordering Fund on 9 July 2017.
